I had been wanting to try this place for a while, so my husband and I went there for dinner after the Mill Creek Art Walk event. It was very good! The service was fast and friendly. The inside of the restaurant was really warm and inviting. The food was absolutely delicious! If we lived closer, we would definitely eat here often!

I'm not sure why there are so many poor low star reviews. The times I've eaten here were on midweek weeknights for dinner where the dining room was near empty but the food & service has always, always been consistent and stellar. The flat rustic sausage pizzas I've had were delicious. My boyfriends usually orders something creamy or cheesy like Alfredo or ravioli which were just as delicious! The complimentary toasted bread with delicious olive oil & vinegar with spices is addicting! (we literally went through 3 baskets one night...no lie) I'm in love with the tomato basil soup which is house made. Perfectly well balanced and perfect for any rainy chilly day! The house romaine salad is also very zesty & refreshing! I would also like to note that wherever there is a mushroom ingredient in a pasta dish, they cook it very well in a way that it showcases the mushroom to a buttery velvety texture!! I'm a fan! =)

Great service, and the ambiance is really nice. Unfortunately the food was quite mediocre.

I really wish I could give this a better review... however, when I look at the cost of the menu offerings, I simply can not. Even with a $10 for $25 Groupon, this place is expensive... Chicken alfardo pizza is about 17 dollars, for a pizza a litthe larger then the size and quality of a Made on Demand (MOD) pizza that is sold for $6.88. The tiramisu dessert is over $7.00, that is outrageous for the size and for chocolate syrup that tastes like Hersheys. The cracker crust on the pizza cooked in a wood fire makes it a very light and tasty treat as well. The dessert menu has pictures which is nice, but no prices on it, which leads me to believe they are trying to hide how expensive the desserts are. Who really wants to ask, espicially if on a date, how much it costs... clever little trick ther Capri Ristorante... I will say though the service and ambiance if fantastic, the staff here truly cares about their guests and in providing great service which is fantastic. Yes, I get it costs alot to operate a business, but the menu prices just seem a little to out of control. My meal that was a pizza, dessert and pint of beer cost me $8.88 (with a 4 dollar tip) after having paid $10 dollars to Groupon. $18.88 is not horrible, but when you factor in it would have been an extra $15 without Groupon at $33.88, that just seems a little steep... Overall though, I would and likely will return here for another great meal. I will stay away from the mighty expensive dessert menu though and splurge on some delious looking pasta other tables were enjoying... Again, I can not say though how great the service is, the service is what is going to make this place a favorite of mine within time...and with Groupons of course (or happy hour).

I really wanted to like this place. Nice atmosphere, piano player...it all seemed so nice! But, the food wasn't great, in fact it was just ok, comparable to Olive Garden really, but way more money. The service was ok, could've been better since there weren't many customers in there. I really think they need to work on menu and make the food more flavorful- if not then bring prices down to Olive Garden prices. Too much $ for what we received.

This used to be one of our favorite places for a nicer dinner once every month or two or a place to take out of towners. However, it just hasn't been the same since they moved from the more homey location up on the hill. The prices are so out of line with the food that the only thing I can think is Mill Creek rent is driving this. $70 for a salad to split, 2 pasta entrees and 2 sodas is insane. For that price it better be a well known chef and it better be the best thing I have ever eaten, not a family restaurant. It's pasta, people. I could have made that at home and not spend $22 a plate for it. I love the Penne Gorgonzola but I have been outpriced and I won't be back. Move back up the hill, make it family dining at a reasonable price again and then we can talk.

I came here months back w my boyfriend because a friend of ours recommended it for true Italian food. We had the most amazing time. We started off w a bottle of wine and the owner's son was our server. Family owned place clearly. He was so chatty and nice and recommended entrees. There was live piano music too and a local singer. I had a mixed seafood pasta dish w a red sauce and it was to die for. Also the homemade bread and olive oil w spices was the best part and u get refills! U can even buy the olive oil special blend from them. I'll def be back! Great time!!! This place needs better reviews for sure! :)

I've been to this restaurant several times now and never have been disappointed, the food is consistently awesome, I took my son there for the 1st time last night and he is really picky, he loved it, the ambiance, food, entertainment, and service is out of this world! I think this restaurant is one of the best around, and will be back!! My favorite restaurant

The food was okay it was not worth the money. I've tasted better from much cheaper places, but the service was awful. The restaurant was empty and we had to ask for water after 40 min, with waiters passing by helping other customers. I wouldn't have expected such bad service from such a expensive nice restaurant. Go across the street and eat better food with better service in a nicer restaurant, this place is not worth it.

The ambiance in this place is great. They have a piano, beautiful ceiling, just the right amount of romance for an italian restaurant. Plus it's in the Mill Creek Town Center, so it's convenient to get to. I really, really wanted to love this place. However, the food is absolutely terrible. Sooo bland, with no seasoning, well unless you count salt. The presentation of the food also left a little to be desired, simply because of how nice the place was and the price. It's a shame, because I'd probably be a regular here otherwise. Honestly, if you like any kind of flavor at all, don't go here. Although I might consider going to their cute bar for just a glass of wine... They only get stars for the decor, I'd give them negative stars for the food.

Cute place and had high hopes. The food was bland and terrible. Could not finish the pizza which was doughy with uncooked onions. Will not be back.

Wow, I'm surprised that this place has a very low rating. We went there for Christmas eve dinner and had their chicken and it was awesome and delish, very tasty and tender too. The wines are great and desserts....just yummy!!! Definitely will come back if we're up in Everett.

I enjoyed the ambiance of this restaurant. I found the staff to be super friendly and outgoing. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu and had a great sense of humor. We started our meal with the antipasto misto. I will admit that at first the idea of having a cold appetizer was a little surprising, but it was fantastic. I especially enjoyed the eggplant and the caprese. My husband's favorite was the marinated mushrooms and prawns. The bread that was brought to our table was crusty and the dip had a wonderful spiciness to it. We did use the provided spoon to get to the spices in the bottom of the small bowl rather than just dip. Divine. For our meal we had the Penne Gorgonzola, which was perfect. The sauce was strong, but that's what I wanted and expected with a Gorgonzola sauce. I added chicken, which was grilled nicely and mixed in with the pasta. My husband had the Tortellini Capri. The sauce was very light and delicious. I would suggest that if you aren't sure if the cream sauce you are ordering is strong or light in flavor that you ask your waiter so you get what you are looking for. We were so stuffed after eating our antipasto and entrees that we opted to not have dessert. The price of the dishes is slightly more expensive than your typical national chain restaurants, but it is well worth it for the ambiance and delicious food.

This place has beautiful decorations. I'm very impressed. There is a piano with a class top on it and you can set around it to have your meal. Very cool. The service was great. The server checked with us often enough but not to the point of annoying. Nice balance. The food selection was really good. The quality was a 3 out of 5 star. I had the seafood with the red sauce and I could tell the seafood wasn't as fresh as it could have been. But I'm not going to say all the food is like that just from trying one dish. The desert was freaking amazing! I don't know the name of it but it had caramel truffles in it with nice cream. The truffles were made from scratch and you can definitely taste it. I would recommend this place but I don't see myself personally coming back.

I was also brought here by a Groupon and I left with a feeling of a Groupon well spent. The prices are decent, I would compare them to Olive Garden really. And the ambience is definitely nicer than the OG. We started the the Bruschetta which was light and flavorful. The bread and olive oil was rustic and a warm touch. I had some seafood pasta with a chipotle cream sauce and my unfortunately delusional husband ordered a steak at an Italian place and got what he ordered. But I think it is worth the price for the quality of ingredients, atmosphere, and especially if you have a Groupon.

We were brought here by a Groupon, with the lure of fine Italian food. For some reason, I think the ratings dropped since I bought it months ago - so we were wary, but still made the drive because we're always on the search for a good Italian restaurant. With good & bad Yelp reviews, we decided to try it out for ourselves. I have to admit, I was turned off by the decor of the place. Whoa, on the granite & chandeliers (which each seemed to have a burnt-out bulb)! The musical entertainment was a saxophonist (is that a word?), who was very good. but his musical selection made us feel we were in a cheesy 1970s movie. Not one Italian song during our meal (c'mon, not even Sinatra?), and the cheeeeese was magnified by my unappreciated knowledge of Name That Tune from the 60s & 70's. Imagine hearing "DejaVu" (originally sung by Dionne Warwick), belted out on the sax. Add in some Stevie Wonder, & other old adult contemporary songs featured on the Donny & Marie-ilk of variety shows from that era. (Oh wait, you're probably too young to remember those days.. ;) Now, let's talk service & food.. We were seated promptly, first at a table pretty much next to aforementioned saxophonist, but then decided to move to a high-top table in the bar area. Our waitress was cheerful & attentive the whole night, as was the busboy who served us as well. As with most Italian restaurants, our meal began with bread. That's also where the disappointment began. The bread just didn't seem authentic: it seemed like generic sliced bread from Costco. The olive oil and vinegar dip was missing something as well. We ordered a Calamari and Clam appetizer, as we enjoy both, and thought the combo would be good. Strike two. It was readily apparent that while the Calamari may have been hand-breaded in the kitchen, the clams came out of their packaging pre-breaded. That being said, the Calamari was cooked almost perfectly and the clams were perfectly edible. The Marinara sauce was run-of-the-mill. Next up was our Caesar salad, which did not come with anchovies, but they were provided on request. I ordered the Shrimp & Veal combo, which came slathered in a tasty (after I added salt) cream sauce, with sides of angel hair pasta & overcooked veggies. There was a total of about 4 "prawns" (tail-on), and a good-sized portion of veal. The meal was good - not omgnomnom, just "good." My date's luck wasn't as good. He ordered the Osso Buco (lamb shank). He took a couple of bites, offered me some, and we agreed that it was so bland & absent of any flavor. She kindly removed the plates & was apologetic, offering anything else on the menu, but this was Strike Three, so we were done. We weren't rude about it or anything, and neither was she - in fact, props to her for handling this so professionally. Oh, I should mention that I had forgotten to inform her we had a Groupon, until after we were done eating. Honestly, we were expecting them to not honor it, since we didn't present it when we were seated, and especially since we did not like the meal. But the waitress accepted it. And when she presented us with the bill, not only did she deduct the Groupon deal, but also did not charge us for the lamb. (Yes, we tipped her on the full cost of the meal.) Last note: the entire meal was devoid of garlic. I mean, seriously, when did you ever have Italian food that did not have a hint of garlic? I felt like the chef was preparing a bland meal for aging grandparents. If it wasn't for Groupon, we wouldn't have tried Capri.

Ok, I have mixed feelings about this place. We had a restaurant.com credit so as we had just moved into the area I thought I would give it a try. We were attending a concert in downtown Seattle and were on a schedule so I went to their website and made a reservation for 7pm on a Saturday night. We showed up at 7 and when I gave my name to the hostess she had a blank look on her face. She said "Did you call or did you do it online?" Well, I said online to which she replied "Oh, that never works, you should call". Yeah....strike one. You should probably mention that on your website. To her credit she found us a corner table right away, a bit cramped but it worked. A plus in their favor despite the mistake. The decor is pretty and it was very clean and tidy, another plus in their favor. The restaurant was PACKED and exceptionally loud.l It might have had to do with the really loud table right behind us (I think they had a few cocktails). In addition to that there was a saxophonist for entertainment in the middle of the room. First of all, his music was far too loud for dinner and secondly he was playing really upbeat, distracting, not at all Italian sounding music or even dinner appropriate music. Weird. Thirdly he wasn't very good. Strike two. We were waiting on promptly and the waiter was really friendly and helpful. Another plus in their favor. I ordered the Apple Gorgonzola Salad and my companions both ordered the Minestrone along with Bruschetta. My salad was fresh and tasty, but way on the sweet side. Neither of my companions liked the Minestrone. We didn't want a bottle of wine and I was surprised to find they offerred precious little choices for wines by the glass. Nevertheless, the wine was good. We sat for a really long time waiting for our entrees. At 8pm (an hour after we arrived) the waiter came over and said our entrees would be right out. Now I understand they were very busy but I think this was way too long to wait in between our first course and the entrees. It put us into a bit of a rush. Strike Three. I had the Tomato Basil Soup. It was quite good actually. My companions had the Spicy Prawns and Chicken Marsala. I was told the Spicy Prawns were quite good and very spicy. However the Chicken Marsala did not impress. He said the ratio of chicken to artichokes was way off. (hardly any chicken) and it should have been called Artichoke Marsala. All in all the plusses were: Great, fast, friendly and helpful service. Generally good food. Strikes were: Reservation problem. Super distracting, poor entertainment, loud atmosphere. Long wait for entrees. Perhaps this place would be better for lunch, I might give that a try. However, based on all the other negatives, I don't think the "generally good food" was enough to over come them for returning for a dinner here.

I went here with 2 girlfriends the other night. We each ordered a salad, a main dish and a dessert and we split a bottle of wine. The waiter was knowledgeable and the bottle of wine was delicious. All of the food was very good, but the desserts were the stars. They have the best tiramisu that I've ever had. I would definitely return.

4 out of 5 of us enjoyed the food. 1 in our party ordered Pasta Carbonara which wasn't prepared correctly and wasn't enjoyable to eat. We had a pizza which my friend enjoyed very much, the tomato basil soup was fantastic, my raviolis were very tasty and served with nice fresh mushrooms. The server was polite, though inexperienced it seemed as we had to prompt for refills and appetizer plates. The menu prices are slightly higher than I expected, but I'd rate the quality better than Olive Garden, which is similarly priced. I probably wouldn't go back without a savings certificate as 60+ is too much for dinner for 2 with no desert of alcoholic beverages. With the certificate we only paid $37 which is much easier to afford. The interior of the place is very nice and really lends a top end feel. The website is terrible on mobile devices.

We used to love coming here listening to the piano and enjoy our steaks UNTIL we got waited by own's son. He was slow but that was okay. He messed up our orders, that was okay. Him being a punk and screaming at his customers, that was not okay. We will not be returning to this restaurant until new ownership, maybe.

I went there for a late happy hour and the place was empty...I should have taken that as a clue. We were seated by the fireplace per my request since it was cold, and I asked about the HH menu. The waiter stated that we had to sit at the bar in order to be able to get it. I understand if it was busy or on the other side of the restaurant but we were only a table away and there were only 1 other couple there. There were several people at the bar but it turned out to be the owners and the staff. Bummer. We ordered beef tenderloin carpaccio which was overly drenched in olive oil (but I liked the strips of shaved parmesan) and split a salmon de vodka pasta entree. Bad idea because there were very little salmon and not a hint of vodka. And to make it worse, they charged us $2 to split the already-expensive and small dish without warning us or stating the fee on the menu. Also, the complimentary slices of toast was just that...burnt toast. Overall the ambiance and decor was really nice, the service was ok, the owner was social, and the entree was comparative to Olive Garden (with the exception of their shaved parmesan)...oh yeah we also got locked in the restaurant since they closed a few hours early for the night...

I should have listened to the Yelp reviews before I went in! This place needs some help. From the seating hostess to the food. Though everyone was nice, they didn't seem to know the answers to basic questions I asked them. The food was not good, I actually went to blazing onion across the way right afterwards.

I can't tell you what the food is like because we went there and had such a bad experience we left. We arrived about 8 minutes to 4pm. The door to the restaurant was open. My husband is obviously handicapped with Rheumatoid Arthritis and has difficulty walking. We walked in and asked if the place was open. The person in the bar said he did not know. Then a lady came in and said we are closed until 4pm. The proper things to do would have been to say "It is almost 4pm and if you like you can sit in the lobby and wait." This did not happen. She escorted us to the door and then told us to wait in our car and locked the door. Well we left and will never go back. This was so totally unacceptable. By the time she locked the door behind us there was only 3 minutes left until 4pm. Are you kidding me??

I bought the recent Groupon for Capri and went in with the boyfriend. I ordered the vitello di mare and really enjoyed it. My only real disappointment was that there were three shrimp. This is a common problem at restaurants, so I suppose I should have expected it, but seriously? Stop being so skimpy with the shrimp! My boyfriend loved his and we did not have *major* service problems. The time it took to get the check once we were done was too long, though, and I wish they had been faster at it. We did go back a second time and were still fairly happy with the entrees. The check took a long time again though, and since most of the entrees we would want are around $20, it's hard to escape for less than $55-60. Not a place we'll be going to all that often.

This place can be slow if you come during an off-peak time. But it can also be busy. The food is really good. I've always enjoyed the calimari and other seafood dishes they serve. They have a piano player on certain evenings, which can add to the ambience. A few cons would probably be timing. They can take a while to get food out. It also seems like sometimes it seems like no one is out in the main dining area. Everyone is back in the kitchen. That's kinda... different... The food is also a little pricey for what you get, but what can you do?

  • Eddie D.

The hostess was preoccupied with a large party in the back of the restaurant. Other Capri staff noticed us waiting to be seated but didn't quickly attend to us and that was not very pleasant. If you make face contact with a potential customer, it is common courtesy to attend to the customer or at least acknowledge their presence as a potential 'paying' customer. The hostess attempted to make the situation better by being apologetic but first impressions are everything in a restaurant. I will have to say that the food selections were wonderful and this made up for the unpleasant wait. The veal & pasta was very tasty and tender. The spaghetti bolognese was a tad salty and there was excessive sauce over spaghetti. The warm bread was wonderful but it would be nice to have room temperature butter rather than breaking through a butter brick with your knife.

My friend and I decided to stop in here because it's so close to work. I was wary of this restaurant because it was slow on a Friday night. But I really wanted the food to be good because the owners obviously spent a lot of money on the decor- both interior and exterior- so I assumed that they would spend as much thought on the food. Apparently that wasn't the case. We ordered clams and mussels along with a Caesar salad for starters. They came back 15 minutes later to tell us that they were out of clams. So we ordered the calamari diavola instead. The Caesar salad was very ordinary. I don't expect Caesar salad to be spectacular, but it just tasted like very generic dressing- not like what you would expect at an Italian Restaurant. We also got a hair in the salad. Which was fine, they were very nice and took it back and asked if we wanted another one. We declined. Second, the calamari diavola was non-existent. There were tiny bits of calamari in a huge bowl with something that tasted like ketchup sauce. At this point, I was praying our entrees would be better. We ordered the Zaccano which was supposed to be veal sautéed with prosciutto, baked with marinara sauce and mozzarella. The marinara sauce was the same ketchup sauce as before and the veal was just gross. Our other entree was the Ravioli Guiseppe which is a meat stuffed ravioli sautéed with mushrooms and parmigiano sauce. The ravioli tasted like it came out of a can of Chef Boyardee. The sauce was alright. After the dinner, we waited around for the check and the waiter finally comes by with the check and tells us that they didn't charge us for the salad or clams. I'm so glad they didn't charge us for the clams we never got because they were out. The final price was pretty expensive considering I have a passport card which gives me a free entree. Also, I thought it was overpriced for the quality of food we got. I thought the service was really nice though.

Nothing you couldn't find at a cheaper Italian restaurant. I enjoyed my veggie soup and salad, but the prices would persuade me to visit a more reasonable restaurant. Bread and oil/vinegar appetizer was adequate. Facility was clean and staff were courteous and respectful. Don't go without a coupon or deal, the prices are a big higher than they should be for the quality and location. Parking is shared with many other business on Main Street in Mill Creek, so parking may be limited on a weekend or dinner times. For Italian, this is great local restaurant in Mill Creek.

I had the Penne Gorgonzola, and it was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! The veggies that came with the dish were carrots and zucchini and I don't know what they put on it but it was also quite delicious! The service was just fine. We sat outside. I don't remember it being too expensive. I live in the neighborhood and wasn't even aware they were at the Mill Creek town center until we found the coupon in the Entertainment book. It's not on the main strip of the town center, kind of hidden on the outside, right by the blazing onion. delicious-o!

My boyfriend and I went to this restaraunt a couple of months ago and had a mediocre experience. The staff seemed to not like their jobs and the food was so so. We always give restaraunts a second try so we went there again the other night. I ordered an almond chicken special and it was terrible! It literally tasted like a dessert it was so sweet! I told the waiter and he graciously apologized and asked if I wanted something else so I ordered the pesto dish instead. I have to admit that it was pretty tasty, but when we got the bill they had charged me for the more expensive dish (by $10) that I had sent back?! I nicely asked the waiter if they made a mistake and if I should actually be charged for the dish that I didn't send back and he said "no, i dont think so." After I explained that it didn't make sense for me to pay for something I didn't eat he said "it's not my fault." Wow. Terrible customer service. We will NOT be back here again.

Holy Frijoles- there are few, VERY few times where as soon as I sat down I've promptly gotten up and left. We enter the establishment, and it was dark. It's 2pm in the day, and it's dark in the room. Large windows let in light sure- but that's the only thing lighting this place at this time. There is no host/hostess. We politely wait, and I look around to see a family eating at one table off to the right, notice another couple eating against a window, and a bartender serving up a drink for someone. I stare at him since he is the only person that looks like he's working here. He finishes up the drinks serves them and then walks into the back kitchen, right back out and comes to us picking up menus. He seats us in the middle and places our menus down and walks away. I use TWO hands to pull these rocks for chairs, sit down and open up a super thick cover menu held together by 2" rings (It looks like a scrapbook party and senior project gone wrong). The menu is so plain- so boring- so expensive!! I look at my Fiancé, my Mom. I'm twisting my face in disgust at everything- check my iphone yelp- it cinches the deal. I get up, and we move on right over to the FireStation Cafe.

I am surprised by all of these bad reviews on here. I don't understand how some people can not like a place like this. The interior and exterior of the restaurant is really amazing. I was quite impressed with the food and the selection of great wines. For a family owned restaurant this is a great place to visit next to my work on a lunch break or during the happy hour. They have amazing deals during the happy where foods are very cheap but definitely a delicious treat. For others who think otherwise, I think they should come back again to the restaurant and revise their old reviews. Just my two cents!

If you're looking for tasty Italian food then run, don't walk away from the groupon deal for this place. I've had the craving for some yummy, indulgent Italian food for a little while so when my bf saw a great deal for a groupon to Capri, which is close to us too, we were stoked. When we arrived the lovely hostess great ed us warmly and sat us at our seat. Although I had read some less than promising reviews, they weren't recent and I thought I would give them a chance since the service seemed attentive and professional and the atmosphere warm. We decide to start w/ the Pane-baked flat bread with garlic and parm and a cup of minestrone. The bread, we ate because we were starving, tasted like nothing more than thin pizza dough w/, still raw, minced garlic, butter, and garlic salt. The minestrone was so bland and the veggies so overcooked that I had to send it back. I don't want people to get the wrong impression, we are pretty easy to please and don't send stuff back often, we do expect techniques to be executed properly. For the prices that they charge the food should be above par and made w quality ingredients. The very kind server was apologetic about the soup and took it off no problem. When the main courses arrived they looked good at first. My bf had the chicken fettuccine Alfredo and I had the linguine primivara w chicken and the pesto cream sauce instead of marinara. The pesto cream sauce was good .......but that was it. The chicken was sooo old tasting and over cooked , so gross. And my primivara, which normally consists of peppers, mushrooms, squash, etc. had nothing more than overcooked carrot and zucchini. The real kicker though was the horrid taste of the Alfredo sauce. OMG, it was so bad. Tasted like it was made with either margarine or that awful butter flavored cooking oil that cheap diners use. The server could see we weren't enjoying our meal and came to check on us. After she took out plates away with much apology, we decided to stick w some wine and out of house made frozen deserts (yummy) the service is really kind and attentive at least. We felt bad for the poor server. I figured we couldn't lose since we got a 40$ groupon for 20$ but after all was said and done after too we still spent 34$ bucks and are know going to Dicks for a burger. Can't win em all I guess!!!

They've set a comfortable and intimate atmosphere that is great for a nice date or an evening with your family. I worried that they'd lose that atmosphere when they relocated from 164th down to Mill Creek, but they made the transition wonderfully. Everything I've tried at Capri's has been excellent. I've even tried dishes that I've hated at other restaurants and have been won over to them by Capri's cooking. I would recommend a specific entree, but they're all amazing. And their desserts....I've gone in there just for their desserts a couple times. For a great italian meal that won't break the bank, hit up Capri's

I've been coming to Capri for just over two years now, usually on Friday nights, when the piano bar is happening. I have pretty much eaten my way through the menu (pasta excepted), and have never been disappointed. Whenever I show up, I usually take a look at the specials, and end up ordering something from there. If nothing appeals to me, I'll let Arturo (the owner/chef) know, and he'll whip up something off-menu for me. The staff has improved over time, and they've learned to strike a balance between being pushy or absent. You have time to enjoy your meal, and you don't feel like you're getting the bum's rush to leave. Sometimes, I will admit, they do drown the veal or chicken in too much gorgonzola, but really, is there such a thing as TOO MUCH gorgonzola - especially if it's homemade, and not something found in a can? I've had the honor of watching the kitchen at work, and I am amazed at how quickly and smoothly the cooks are able to turn out their orders. Their wine selection is pretty amazing, and they can turn out some great drinks at the bar as well. Overall, Friday nights are the best time to be there - a rockin' piano player, great drinks, great food, and good times.

The atmosphere at Capri seems confused (Italian styled murals on the ceiling and beer neon signs in the windows) and why are their chairs so damn heavy and the tables so damn low (very uncomfortable)? Anyway, the décor really doesn't matter much when the food sucks. My husband and I ordered the limoncello bruschetta, that for $12.00 came on the same rye bread we were given for free before the meal. It was too sweet, too acidic, an overload of sundried tomatoes and inedible. We decided to go with two very basic classic Italian dishes to test the place out before shelling out $20.00 for a chicken breast. My husband ordered the bolgonese, which was the worst bolgonese we ever had. It was really watery and mushy and had no flavor. I swear it had been frozen prior. Chef Boy-R-Dee makes a better bolgonese...seriously. I had the Carbonera. Someone should tell the chef that pancetta is not slab bacon and that the eggs are not supposed to be scrambled. It was a mess swimming in a pile of oil. The service was okay, below par but not offensive, however I have issues when the wait staff doesn't ask if there are any problems with a dinner left uneaten. To summarize: it was the worst Italian food my husband and I have ever had. Ever.

The decor inside of the restaurant is very nice and inviting. We started out with Calamari Diavalo, that's a calamari in a spicy marinara sauce, it was good but unless you know what this is and you like it, I suggest sticking with regular calamari. I had a lobster ravioli and my wife had chicken Marsala. Both dishes were good however I actually preferred the chicken Marsala, the sauce was excellent. Don't let the bad reviews discourage you from trying this restaurant out! our meal was good and priced in line with most of their Italian restaurant competitors in the area. The overall rating seems to be being brought down by old reviews. Our service was fine and the staff was very friendly, I would definitely come back here.

Building and decor A+! Food and service F! One word: YUK. Service super slow, oblivious servers, place half empty on a Friday night should have tipped us off. Salad was passable at best, really awful bottled Kraft -like dressing with wet bread crumbs on top of it in lieu of croutons? WTF!?? Chicken marsala was abysmal, some sort of gravy with a splash of marsala at the end covering a piece of wet/luke warm chicken with raw mushrooms thrown on top. ACK! Vegetables were NOT al dente, they were underblanched and tepid. Tortellini was gummy and bland. All in all this place made Olive Garden look like The Metropolitan Grill. And to top it off, the pianist was banging (poorly, I might add) on the piano so loudly that we couldn't hear ourselves think. HORRIBLE cover of a bunch of really classic Beatles songs didn't make the cheap ingredients go down any better. Check came and could't get out of there quick enough. My teenager makes better food than this.

My husband and I went to Capri after venturing downtown for the Thursday night music sponsored by Central Market. Turns out, we should have probably gotten food from the Central Market deli and had that instead. In a nutshell: - $20 pasta with fake crab - 90 minutes for one round of drinks + dinner - waited 27 minutes for the check after we were done eating As other reviewers have said, the menu is extrememly overpriced for what you get. There is no reason that a $20 pasta should have fake crab - we're in Seattle!! My ravoli was thick and doughy, and the cream sauce was from a jar. My husband's pasta with grilled veggies was SWIMMING in garlic and olive oil. I could have cooked this very basic veg + garlic + olive oil at home. Because of the music event, the restaurant was about half full. Not busy by any stretch, but definitely steady. It took a full 90 minutes to get ONE round of drinks and dinner. My first drink was wrong, and it took 40 minutes to get a replacement. There is no excuse for that. As it turns out, the owner was also our waitress, and she was awful. Rude, pretentious (we are well-dressed, middle class folk - not fancy, but definitely deserving of some respect) and completely oblivious that it was taking forever. She never even offered us a second round of drinks. It took 27 minutes (I was timing on my phone) to get our check after we finished eating, and we weren't offered dessert, an after dinner drink, or even thanked for our patience. We should have left after it took 30 minutes to just get bread and water, but because I have a conscience I stayed for the meal. What a mistake. We went to Wild Vine Bistro (180th & Bothell-Everett Hwy) afterwards, spent 1/4 as much and had a much *much* better time. As an amateur foodie, it pains me to say this, but go to the Olive Garden at Alderwood instead.

they could tone down some of the decor a little bit, but it wasnt too obnoxious the feathers in the wine glasses were a bit much... but i lived in italy for 4 years so im a little skeptical of all italian places in america it just isnt the same... its all american food to me.. but i loved there bread with oil that they brought they were really fast at getting our order? and they let me taste a few dif wines because i didnt like the one my husband chose... lol im like ughh he can drink that lol there food was pretty good i had the pesce spaghetti and my husband had chicken marsalla or something which actually tasted like teriyaki chicken which was fine he liked it hahahaha but did not taste italian lol only thing was a little expensive... if they lowered there prices a bit i think it would suit there food quality but overall id go back but not on a game day that was also the down side but that was my fault lol noise from the tv playing the seahawks game...

I really wanted to like this place, but I was sorely disappointed. It is richly decorated & the piano bar is a nice touch. We ordered the vinaigrette salad which was decent. However, the chicken Alfredo was so horrible, I couldn't finish it and refused to order a dessert. The chicken tasted like it had been sitting out for a few days, I was worried that I might get sick. What a shame that I won't be able to return since I only live a block away & wanted to make this my regular Italian eatery. As a side note, they were pretty kid friendly, but not worth a trip unless the food improves.

I will offer one star for the bread, and the piano player, but that is all I can justify. Have you ever had a dinner experience where you hope it never happens again? That is what I think of when you mention Capri. At times eating out is just dinner, and other times it is an experience that adds to the rest of your evening. One might be willing to pay more for the same dish if it is presented in a more appealing way, or is served professionally in an ambiance that is special. Looking at the lighting, custom paint, elaborate furniture, the wall of wine, and the piano, I do believe Capri aspires to provide the extra level of ambiance. However, the basics of professionally trained service, correctly cooked food, use of quality ingredients, and the absolute necessity to ensure food handling safety is without doubt missing from this establishment. You will find as you read on that while I might be willing to have a $7 glass of house wine while listening to the piano, I wouldn't be willing to eat again at this restaurant for free due to the poor food quality. Do not be fooled by other reviewers' good experience, as the basics are something that must happen every time for the health department to allow a restaurant to keep its doors open. High prices cannot hide what you actually eat at Capri. Yesterday, 3/29/13, I took my wife to Capri for dinner. I was a little wary, because previously the kitchen service had been slow, and the food had been poorly conceived, for a pretty high price, 12 to 18 per plate. This time the prices were higher, 18 to 25 per plate. I was hopeful it meant a new chef or new owner might be trying to breathe life in to the restaurant. No such luck. The first course was the apple salad, for $14 (charged for a split). I could not eat any of it because as I sorted through the few bits of cheese and pecans I kept finding each piece of greens wilted, and spoiled. Those that were not spoiled had 1/4 inch chunks of rotten sludge clinging to them, and it became clear that the garden ingredients had not been washed. Unfortunately by the time I gave up, my wife was half way through her salad when she said, "I taste something funny.". It was not funny, it was the same thing for her. We asked for our plates to be taken away, as it should have been obvious that what was left on our plate was something you wouldn't want to eat. The waiter offered to bring me another salad. I asked for something cooked instead, calamari frite. The deep fried assortment of baby squid tentacles and tubes were some of the lightest and fresh tasting I've had, though served with an odd pairing: red pasta sauce. At least it was edible. The main course was capellini gambini $21 for my wife (shrimp with sundried tomatoes and mushrooms in a garlic wine sauce), and a $25 new York steak with steamed vegetables and garlic parmesan mashed potatoes for me. The "sauce" for my wifes dish was warm, not hot, and the shrimp under cooked. The vegetables on my plate were hardly cooked, but the warmest item on my plate. The potatoes were flavorful, but suddenly I recognized why it tasted like the oil and herbs served with the bread: it was the canned preservative taste of bottled chopped garlic available from Costco, rather than the fresh kind that tastes like garlic. Yes, in an Italian restaurant, there was no fresh garlic. The rare requested steak apparently touched a grill at some point due to the grill marks, and had the appearance of having been cooked on the outside but the entire steak was lukewarm, possibly from the cold plate, maybe because it sat in the kitchen, I don't know. The sauce served with the steak tasted strangely like exlax. We shared with each other, but limited our intake. Knowing better than to ask for different food, we simply enjoyed the bread and the music to avoid making a scene. When the bill came, one half of the split salad had been removed from our bill. Grand total:$75 for two people who left disappointed. But there is more...that dinner was an experience after all, a bathroom experience, regularly, literally, and to keep from being too graphic, I'll just say that there is evidence that it was the Capri food. Finally, the server. Junior, as he called himself, the son of the owner, he said, was unprofessional. Hasty at times, slow others, always talking, hardly listening, telling us all about himself, offering his opinion of everything, and not taking time to ask someone to check on us after the meal was served. I've been trained as a waiter, I've worked in several restaurants, he must be trained properly in server etiquette. Since my wife and I are both suffering the same ill bathroom effects, I wonder if I should have taken the servers advice to not share. It makes me wonder if intentional ill was done to our food. I was hoping for an improvement, but this turns out to be the last straw, as I've had better Italian for less in downtown Seattle.

I've been here twice for dinner and am hoping they can work out some kinks. First, the positive: the food is decent and there are several interesting dishes on the menu. It also appears as though the owners have put some money into decorating the place, which is nice. It's also easy to get to and parking is a snap. Bonus points for a fully stocked bar. Now, the not so good: first on the food end of things, there are way too many calamari appetizers. Seriously--there are like 4 calamari dishes on the appetizer menu...do you really need that many? The restaurant has no booths--it's all tables. I prefer booths since they feel cozier and quieter. And yes, I have been to many, many high end restaurants all over the globe. Capri is not one of those high end, "can get away with tables only" restaurants. Both times I went, the waitstaff was just sort of standing around with very little to do. Not good. They sort of stood around, talking to each other, trashing the customers, no doubt! That doesn't provide a great atmosphere. The last time I went the bathrooms weren't working. That sort of freaks me out. Anyway, if they are able to work out the bugs this could be a decent restaurant. If they're not able to do so, then I imagine they won't last.

I was hoping to be able to rate this place much higher...unfortunately, our experience will not allow me to. We had purchased a buy $35 get $25 coupon through restaurant.com , as we had never dined at this facility. We did find it odd that they do not have lunch hours as all the restaurants in that center do (and they are always packed at lunch, at least at this time of the year). We went on an early Wednesday evening, 5:00ish. The decor is beautiful, very classy with lots of granite. We were seated in the dining room although all other patrons were in the bar area or on the patio. Inside the menu was a handout that advertised they offered $14 bottles of wine in the bar (which is just a few steps away from where we were seated) for Happy Hour. Now, we completely understand that we can't use our coupon for Happy Hour and since we were ordering 2 $25 entrees we certainly have already met the terms of the coupon. We had wanted to order the wine separtely, we were told "No" you can't. If you get the wine at bar & take it to the table they want a $50 corkage fee. Really???? One of the employees suggested we move to a table in the bar, so we did. Although this really seems silly at this point. We sit for a good 5-8 minutes waiting for the wine to be delivered by yet a different employee. She sees the coupon on the table and says I don't think you can use that. We explain the situation & how we moved tables and we were ordering full price meals at $50. She comes back and says the manager says we can't use the coupon. OMG! Really?!?!?!? We have purchased above and beyond what we had to. In the end, they rang up one bill for the wine and one bill for the meals. What does that accomplish? It is the same facility and we were the same customers. The manager/owners should ask themelves why they offer coupons? Is it to attract new customers? If so, why in the world would you create such an irritating and hostile experience?!?!? With all the dining choices available, we certainly do not plan to return here. As for the food and wine; the wine was absolutely wonderful! My husband had the Zuppa, a Cioppino soup and he loved it. I had a shrimp pasta dish that was not very flavorful and certainly not worth it's regular price. If you go, I suggest you know all the rules about where you can sit and what you can order, etc... Good luck!

I went there for lunch. It was good but nothing to write home about. I probably will go back again some day but it is not about to become a top 10 restaurant in the area. I had the veal Gorgonzola. The veal had a fabulous flavor and the Gorgonzola sauce was great. The complaints... a little too much sauce on the plate (I had to scrape it off the meat to taste it), the veggies were swimming in butter, and the veal was a little tough. Overall... not too bad but also, not too good.

I've been here twice and both times I've left feeling disappointed and ripped off. Seriously, I'd rather go to Bucca di Beppos! It looks like the owners spent too much time with the decor and atmosphere and not enough on the menu. The tables are rather small (or they may just have too much on them). It took extremely long for our food to come, and considering there was only one other couple in the restaurant at the time, it's unacceptable. The food was also a let down, too much sauce and not much of anything else. Needless to say, I will not be coming back any time soon.

My boyfriend and I came here late one night, after having dinner elsewhere, looking for a glass of red wine and some kind of tiramisu (or something with chocolate), We walked into this place and asked the hostess if they had Tiramisu, she said it was "the BEST". Ok, so we sat down ordered a glass of house wine and the tiramisu. It took FOREVER for them to bring it to us. However, there was a man playing the piano, who was pretty entertaining, so it wasn't too bad. Once it came. . . the wine was really bad, like it had been sitting out for a few days, and the Tiruamisu was AWFUL. Absolutely disgusting. It tasted sour and rotten, and I think they just used Hershey's syrup to spread over the top of it. We each had one bite only and I had to do all I could to keep myself from barfing it back up! YUCK. I will never go here again.

Man, I have a problem with Italian restaurants that have live entertainment. We went there thinking we had a coupon, but it was for another restaurant. That coupled with the piano man should have been an omen to get the hell out of there - but we were hungry and shooing away our intuition. I ordered the Rigatoni Salsatticia, or something - basically sausage with a red sauce. The sausage was EXTREMELY rancid. I didn't say anything and had my wife try it to validate and she spit it out. They were shocked?!? Its so funny when that happens. Like they don't know that they're trying to serve rotten food because business is slow. They brought back out the bolognese, which wasn't bad, just watery. We choked it down, chugged our wine, and got the F out of there. For good!

High expectations Low Delivery Decided to try the new location of this restaurant as I have been to the original about a year ago and was not impressed. But hey new location that seemed to spare no expense on the atmosphere. Well as mentioned the atmosphere was very nice and the staff was very pleasant. Well the pre-meal bread and oil sent warning signal but hey, have to give the entire meal a chance and judge a book by its cover as they say. BTW the bread was bland dry and the oil was not what I expected. As we waited I order a glass of wine which I forget what the name was perhaps because I was too focused on the main course. The wine was very good BTW. OK so I did not go out on a limb as I normally would but stuck with a very basic dish. Figured if this makes me want to come back then I would try the other more interesting dishes. OK the dish came and went and well OK chicken pasta and cream sauce, enough said. Sadly the food was only fair at best and did not meet the what they put into the place. I really would like to see them do well and succeed but I don't see how if the food is only OK.

The worst Italian restaurant I ever been to , I did the same mistake like everybody else went to this restaurant through group on .. When I wake inside I ask if I can use my group on coupon and they said yes ... After about ready to pay the difference between the group on and what. I order they said I can't use the coupon in that day , it's after couple days and they want take the group on coupon so I paid on my credit card .. After I left I called the owner of the restaurant instead she solve the problem she was fighting with me .. ... The food was very bad . The funny thing the owner ask me why I didn't leave any tip ... Of course the food and the service ... If there's minus star I will rate this restaurant ... I should read all the re view's before I made that mistake ... I glade there's YELP and people re view's ........

Pretty much horrible. The restaurant is cold and drafty and noisy. There is no barrier from when the door opens and unfortunately it's just a big room with table and chairs. The service was decent. The menu was cheap looking, the appetizer we had, the Calamari and clams combo was not worth it. The clam strips we are pretty sure were the frozen you buy in the supermarket, as they tasted like it and was breaded a different breading and coloring. The bread was underdeveloped, very dense and yeasty. The Caesar was simply blah, they played it safe, not an inch of egg or anchovies and very little garlic in the dressing. The entrees well basically you could buy the stuff at Costco and make more for the price. I got the Penne carrietera which sounded good with fresh ham, peas, mushrooms and marinara/gorgonzola sauce. The pasta was overcooked and not fresh. The ingredients were minced and just thrown onto a plate swimming in the sauce. My dining companion had Tortellini Capri which is a meat stuffed tortellini sauteed with prosciutto, parmigiano & parsley in a cream sauce. He said it basically was prosciutto with some pasta as a side. Half way through his stomach hurt from all the salt in the dish. The tortellini, while was cooked properly, was probably bought in bulk, not fresh or homemade. The prices were marked up and not worth it, when they asked us if we would like dessert, we cringed and got the heck out of there. We got there on Sunday evening at 8pm and it cleared out before we even got our salad, so there is no excuse for this food. Such a complete disappointment as it looked so cute and I love little out of the way Italian places, will not be going back. Go to Zinnia's that is across the street, for the same amount and 5x better food.

I went here with my mom and by the empty restaurant we should have known better. We ordered glasses of wine which seemed to be pretty reasonably priced and started off with an order of mussels as an appetizer. After my first one I new they were bad and we got the waitress to take them back. They tasted very fishy as if they had either been frozen for a long time or had gone bad. Either way they tasted terrible. The wine however was really good. I had a seafood pasta in a red sauce (not sure of the actual name) it wasn't terrible, but I wouldn't come back for it either. I think this was due to seafood freshness too. After dinner we decided not to get dessert, but went for more wine because that seems to be all that they had that was good. I wouldn't go there again. There are plenty of places to get good wine... but also good food.

We ordered the warm bread and oil ($2 happy hour) at the waiter's recommendation. The bread starter was excellent and is arguably one of the most important items to get right at an Italian restaurant. We also ordered a happy hour margarita pizza ($5 I think). This too was very good. The crust was crispy on the bottom, chewy in the middle with the right amount of sauce, cheese, on top. We had three drinks, pizza, and bread starter for about $20, so the price was great, but cheap food for me is not a high priority. I was a little disappointed that the $4 happy hour draught beer was only 12 ounces maybe (which is why I ordered two over the course of our meal) instead of the 16 or 20 you would normally expect at happy hour. Few others were in the restaurant so it's difficult to gauge the atmosphere. Inside is somewhat upscale looking but not pretentious. The service was so-so. We were going to order a pasta dish but by the time the waiter came around again the desire had passed so we cashed out. We will try again for lunch or dinner and will update the review based on that experience.

I took my S.O there on a saturday night at around 730, at first when i walked in the door i asked if they were open because there were no customers inside! Which isnt a bad thing, just a bit weird. Anyways we were seated and got everything ordered. Up first was the amazing bread, we were both very pleased with it and we looked forward to the main course. I ordered the lasagna which was very bland, boring, tasteless - Id rather eat burger king. During this entire time we were the only people that came in or out of the place. With bad tasting food, decent service, but an absurdly high bill my only choice is two stars!

Considering the location we went here for the first time with high hopes. Many places in the area are wonderful. This is not one of them. The lack of customers should have been a clue. I will give it two stars for the yummy bread and our waitress and hostess was attentive. But the rest of the food was awful! The Lasagna was gross. The meat was sour and vinegar tasting. Like it was spoiled. I ordered the special of shrimp and crab raviolis with lemon sauce . I ate it due to hunger but a few things... One a little lemon goes a long way. It was a thick yellow super lemony sauce and two the filling had poor quality shrimp meat and so much bread crumbs i couldnt tell if there was any crab. For 22 bucks!! All the dish came with was about six raviolis. Period. For theirs prices you expect quality. To top it off their computers were not working and were we had to leave our credit card info written down for them to charge later or go find a cash machine. We will not be back and do not recommend going just for good bread. Update to the owner. I am sorry my husband and I did not like your restaurant . As a matter of fact we have eaten at many Italian restaurants and other types from Boston to New York to Chicago and San Diego And Memphis and other cities and states as we travel quite a bit, my husband out of the country too. And we eat out up to four times a week. We were in last Thursday I believe. I do not mind a small quantity when there is quality. Was surprised for that price nothing else was offered with it. Thank you for the time you took to answer and we wish you luck in the future.

Good food, great service. I ordered the pesto dish, my husband ordered the lasagna. Huge portions of food! The bread and oil was delicious. The price of food seemed a little high... Other than that I have 0 complaints! Will be checking out their happy hour next time.

I really liked this place but a few things were off about it. My S.O. and I went on a Saturday night and were the only people in the whole restaurant. It made me wonder if we were making a bad choice. I ordered red wine with Gorgonzola pasta. I loved the pasta, wish they had a beer menu because I would've preferred that over wine. Evan ordered lasagna which he reported as bland and watery. It almost looked like the at-home oven made lasagna. I think the customer service was great and the environment was comfortable and romantic. It was also odd that they placed us at a tiny table close to a side door of the restaurant. I would order the pasta if I ever choose to go here again. It was okay but I feel like as one of the only local italian places, they should've wowed us.

Me and my boyfriend went for dinner there and we were so disappointed. I ordered a spaghetti bolognese and he ordered a lasagna and the meat in both was so weird and when I asked what kind of meat it was they told me it was pork, beef and ___ (I forget the third thing) it was so awful I couldn't eat it. I also ordered tea and it was 4 dollars, for a bag of tea! I also had soup which was tomato based veggie soup. Since I couldn't eat my spaghetti, I ordered one more and the second one was completely watered down and I could not eat it. This whole experience ruined my night I recommend you to stay away from this place. Also there were so many workers working and only another table active and they just walked around. I had to call them every time I needed service.

We came here last night for date night. Our waitress greeted us upon arrival and was very attentive. The food was amazing and the atmosphere was relaxing and romantic. I just love the ambiance of this restaurant. I had the spaghetti puttanesca which was divine! We were here 5 years ago on our second date. We will be returning for sure, much sooner next time.

Solid 3 stars. The service was prompt and timed well. We were the first people in at 4:30 on Sunday receiving undivided attention until about 5:30 when a few more couples came in. We chose the wine which was important because our waiter didn't realize we were the type to order a wine based on our expertise. She offered a happy hour bottle of wine for $15. We went with the Vino Nobile for $51 which was excellent and they score for having high end wines on their list. The bread and dipping sauce of olive oil and balsamic with fresh chopped garlic, red pepper flakes and dried basil was delicious. Ok Caesar salad from the happy hour menu was plenty to share but lacked style. Housemade croutons would take it to a delicious level and we are willing to pay more for that effort. The pizza on happy hour was good. Crust could use a better recipe for flavor was a bit flat. The sauce however was fairly authentic and light. The buffalo mozzarella delicious and hint of fresh basil perfect. Florence mercado centrale pizza is my benchmark. The sausage Ragu with tortellini was flavorful but the tortellini was a bit soft and watery. Timing is the key here. We ordered a recommended Gorgonzola sauce and wow that was nice. I wouldn't order a full pasta dish with it but as a side. Tasty. Overall we will be back. Especially to try the clams and sausage in a broth and for the crab ravioli special. If you want a bottle of great Italian wine and happy hour pizza this can be your go to. #theblondefoodie

My friend made reservations at this restaurant over a month ago for a special event and knowing that it would be a busy night because of a popular music group that would be playing. Arrived 1 minute late and we were told they gave our table away. When the waitress came back out to talk to us she said we needed to arrive by 5:45 pm and we told her that one of our party was here at 5:31 pm. She said she would go check to see what was goingk on. We waited another 10 minutes and she never came back. Out of town guests said they didn't want to spend their money at a restaurant that didn't honor their customers. Beyond disappointing.

The service was not terrible, but not great either even though there was only one other table being served. We had three different people come to our table at various points in the evening to bring drinks, bread, and our food. Our waiter was actually surprised to see that our food came out. The food itself was pretty decent but not mind blowing in any way. I would say that it's not a great value for what you get. If they hired a professional manager to square away the front of the house I think they could turn this place into an amazing place for a romantic dinner.

My husband and I really love Italian food so we were looking forward to some authentic comfort food. I ordered the tortellini in meat sauce and sausage and got some weird cream sauce with, I kid you not, lunch meat ham sliced and tossed in. The actual tortellinis were tasty but the ham? Why? My husband got the spinach ravioli in cream sauce. He said it was ok but all he could taste was spinach. It overpowered everything else. The dessert was rather unimpressive as well. I ordered the creme brûlée and he ordered the "house" made tiramisu. Both were bad. The creme brûlée had way too much sugar on top and the custard only filled less than half the small dish it came in. The tiramisu was both soggy and horribly dry at the same time as being overwhelmingly sweet. The only amazing part of the food was the bread and dipping oil. The service was horrible and the place was cold. It was pouring outside so the hostess asked us if we wanted to sit next to the fireplace, which was off, and she would turn it on for us. We were the only ones there. She must've turned it on high because we were soon scooting away and had to ask her to turn it off. Meanwhile four people came in, sat two tables away and kept their coats on the entire time. Our waitress/hostess spent the entirety of our meal at the bar talking to a coworker who sat there drinking and mixing her own drinks, while another waitress sat staring out the other door. We were ignored and when we weren't, she wouldn't shut up so we could enjoy our dinner. We will not be returning. Buca di Beppo is leaps and bounds better and is priced similarly.

So, on the recommendation of a friend.. had a dinner put together by the new "Chef" transitioning the restaurant (Think Kitchen Impossible) with his new menu. Not sure what his actually role was there. When I asked him what his definition of a chef was he basically said "Chief" which is the dictionary definition. Mind you he's been in the business 52 years. So, from there I questioned who prepared the food. And he said the owner/partner who has been the Chef de Cuisine for some time, as well as a couple of what he stated were cooks. So, we kept things pretty basic to start with the Caprese which was pretty good, the tomatoes were pretty pale lacking color and flavor (which is the norm unless their possibly organic) but the rest of the app flavors blended well and were delicious. With that came some bread that was baked crispy, hard and burnt (black) on several points and the whole loaf was had hints of burnt flavor. Chefs don't let that out of their kitchen to start the night. Don't bother trying to put the dipping sauce on the bread it didn't adhere. So we're off to a semi-average start. I'm happy the $12.00 extra dirty, extra dry martini's x 2 were done adequately but I can walk about 25 yards away and get one for $8.00. Next came the Cioppino which was actually delicious and the highlight of the whole dinner. The sauce was delightful and well seasoned. The shrimp was rubbery and chewy, as were the clams but other than that the fish in the stew melted in my mouth. Never did see a salad though. Dinner consisted of three pasta choices all with the same pasta which if it were fresh I couldn't tell..it was almost cooked just over al dente and not tender. None of the sauces actually adhered to the pasta for whatever reason. The chicken parm was cooked perfectly and had a well seasoned sauce that was noted as being overly salted by several of the others at our table. Next was the pasta Dianna as I think I understood it. Had a nice rich sauce that I thought paired well with the medallions. But, the beef was overcooked and chewy. There was also the Veal Marsala that I thought would have been absolutely wonderful had it not been overly salted in finishing it. I'm thinking the Cook/Chef may have had a heavy hand on the the kosher... The vegetable medley had a memorable Provencal flavor that I couldn't place and they were cooked perfectly... a highlight of the meal for sure... Thought it to be odd that the Chef made it a point to invite us to try some of his wines that he thought he was going to throw out as perhaps they may have been on the shelf too long...none of us were actual wine connoisseurs but were able to identify a wine that was bad and three of the 4 were hideous...we did drink the Grigio which was good. The dessert came and was a specialty done by one of the wait staff..perhaps... and in house baker. I thought it was delicious, light and moist. I believe a three milk cake of sorts... what it was called I don't recall and thought the plating was a bit over the top with the sauce combination. So, for me the experience was rather sub par. I would do Olive Garden just as quickly as I would do Capri and save a ton of money in doing so. There was only one larger table close to us and the room seemed to be overly noisy with the background music. I can only imagine how it might be with a full house..which may be the desired effect in coming here. I'm not sure who the demographic target customer is here as there was a family feel there with kids also dining in. Apparently there is also a piano bar on weekends but I have heard negative comments in the past as to don't bother going. I don't figure I would be the target demographic as I don't generally consider paying close to 45.00 for and experience of this type to be rewarding and satisfying. My actual food bill for sharing this meal with my group came to 58.60 which was a bit of a surprise, and that's excluding my 30.00 martini bill. On a quick note...after a go around with our utensils. A new set was brought to me and as I started to cut into my food I noticed the knife was not clean and stained with..well you know somebody else's previous meal. Now I'm no Chef.. just a lowly cook but it seems to me if I "were" a chef (Chief) I would probably spend more time looking at who's minding my kitchen. Is it qualified chefs or just stray cooks willing to work for 14.00 or less to maintain a high degree of integrity in their technique, skills, and culinary chops in this kitchen. Or, the other option would be to get your ass in there and cook it yourself. It IS your name on it! Apparently, the place is on the hooks right now and in need or some rescue and the new chef has come to change things. As a resident of Mill Creek and consistent patron of the other places nearby it is my hope that "The Capri" can rebound and be a bit more consistent in their food, their service, their pricing and their attitude as to who they're target customer is...it may not be me.

Should of listened to the negative reviews. However, I was swayed by the coupon offer on Yelp for a check-in. Once the bill came and I showed my coupon on my phone to the server. She took the phone and came back 2 minutes later and said that they do not have any deals with Yelp. This was very disappointing as you need to purchase two drinks and the second entree was 50% percent off. I ordered two glasses of wine and would of only ordered one glass due to coupon. After all of this they did offer 10% off next visit. However, if they would of honored the coupon to begin with it would of been the same cost of the Yelp coupon for this visit. The food was good, but not great for the cost. I really wanted to like this place but was disappointed. We also asked for a kids menu and claimed they were out or couldn't find one. My daughter is a little older so not a big deal but it forced us to purchase a more expensive entree. To add insult to injury they have a big sign with Yelp, Facebook and Twitter deal for check-ins of the front of entrance. I attached a pic of that sign. Suffice to say I will not be back.

The service was poor tonight. It took forever to get our bread. Then to get our food. Then she brought our bill and asked if she could bring us dessert. Never gave us a dessert menu before she rang up the bill. Husband's lasagna wasn't very hot, pizza was ok. The chicken piccata was good.

The food is all right, but not real Italian and definitely not worth the $$$ price tag. The food is more like what you would expect from a chain restaurant, not a place that is trying to be upscale and has obviously spent a lot of money on the decor and furnishings. I was with 5 other people, and we were seated in a room away from the main front room. I'm really glad, because that main front room was extremely loud and chaotic. I would have asked that we go somewhere else if they hadn't given us the other table. It was so loud we were shouting at each other while we were waiting for the rest of our party to arrive. We were welcomed well when we arrived. The waitress we had was friendly but she didn't come back to check on us. It was slow to get our food, and she forgot things that we asked for and had to go back to get them, then would take a long time to return. One friend couldn't start eating because he lacked silverware for 20 minutes. We ended up being there for 3 hours because of how long it took to get our orders, food and our check. If you have that kind of time and patience, then check this place out on a slower day of the week. I'd stay away during a busy night and the weekend. Food: 3 Service: 2.5 Parking: 4 Ambiance: 4

I shouldn't have come here with the reviews listed and not using a deal. The food just wasn't very good and it was overpriced in my opinion. I ordered the Linguine Vongole and it was probably my least favorite that I've ever tried. My boyfriend's dish was just OK. The tiramisu wasn't bad, but wasn't special either. There are 2 good things about this place. #1 - Good service. The staff was very welcoming and attentive, but their computers were down so it took forever to get our bill, pay, and leave. #2 - Location. You can't go wrong with the town center. Although I love supporting the Town Center's businesses, I don't think we'll be coming back.

I would like to give this place a 4.5 but have decided to round up to give them the benefit of rounding. The food is actually pretty decent. The bread is excellent, and I'm obsessed with the Ravioli Giuseppe. The service has always been good to very very good and the ambiance, while trite, is nice enough. Important things to note: - the live music is very, very loud for such a small space. We avoid this place on live music nights. - as of 08/15/14 they were no longer accepting Groupons. They requested that we ask Groupon for a refund because they wouldn't take it.

This is one of my least favorite places in Snohomish county. I find the food to be good, but way overpriced. The staff is good. They typically bring the food out pretty quickly unless the place is packed. When they have music, it is way too loud, we usually ask to be seated as far away as possible. We went there recently for a birthday party and we brought the wine and the cake. Their corkage fees are high and they charged us to serve the cake, over $50 in fees. They should have given us a break since we spent over $300 for the meal and the owner even ate a piece of the cake with us. We will not be going back.

I really like this place for Italian. Its definitely leaps and bounds better than chain Italian like buca's or olive garden. I agree with other reviews that the menu items seem a bit pricey in comparison to other Italian restaurants but I got the groupon so it made no real difference to me. What we ate: The complimentary amazing free warm bread with olive oil filled with spices and garlic. Some of the world's best sangria! Started off with the calamari which is excellent. Some of the best, most flavorful squid I have ever had. It comes with tomatoes and lettuce and a wonderful sauce. If you like calamari definitely give it a try. I had the fettuccini alfredo with grilled chicken and was thoroughly impressed. The sauce was thick and creamy with lots of layers of flavor. I am really picky about alfredo sauce and might say this is my favorite. The chicken was a little on the dry side but not terrible. My boyfriend had some kind of sausage red sauce pasta dish that was the special. He said he loved it with the perfect amount of cheese, spice, and sauce. It was a gorgeous looking plate as well. I think my favorite thing about this place is the live piano music though. Its a fun Friday night date place.

This restaurant opened at 4:00. We arrived at 5:00, stood in the lobby as 4 servers walked around setting tables. There were no customers in the restaurant and the staff looked at us multiple times but kept working without acknowledging us. We stood there for atleast 15 minutes as the staff finished what they were doing and hung out talking to eachother. After being ignored for 20 minutes we left. I'm not sure how this place is in business. We will not be back.

Came here a few times - each time was a disappointment. The service was just terrible. The first time I came here, my husband and I were the only ones in the restaurant and we waited 30 minutes to place an order. We were just sitting there chatting and munching on bread. The fact that we got a refill on bread should have been an indication to the waitress that perhaps we were ready to order. The second time I went there, our waitress could not assemble a complete sentence of English. My husband asked her what was on tap. She just looked at him, pointed to their bar, and said: "All our drinks." We actually requested someone else to wait on us. The food was not impressive. We came here recently for their special Valentine's day dinner. We paid $65 each for a measly spinach salad, lobster ravioli that was full of frozen crab meat and smothered in what tastes like synthetic cheese, and two bites of gelato. We will not be returning here. We gave it a couple chances and each time was a greater disappointment than the first. Each time we came in, there's almost no one there and we get the crappiest service. When we were there last, there were 7 waiters and waitresses standing around chatting with each other instead of taking our order. I understand when you're in college that working in a restaurant can be boring when there's no customers, but at least pay attention to the ones that are there.

My wife and I decided to walk around downtown Mill Creek and decide on a place to eat for our 21st Wedding Anniversary. We almost did Indian, but decided to go Italian. We had tried to eat here before, but they were closed early for the day when we did the same walk back a few months ago. This day we were able to go in we were greeted by a host who suggested a table in front of the fireplace. This is in a restaurant with great windows due to the round design of the room. My wife thought since he said fireplace, the fireplace would put out heat, so we accepted. One, the fireplace wasn't on so there was no heat, and two, there were about 20 other tables which would have been a better aesthetic fit to enjoy the meal. Then after a quick greeting by the waitress, she let us take some time to study the menu. We took a little more than normal and decided on a couple of entrees. By the time we decided we had been there 15 minutes or so. Water was on the table but that was it. After we gave our order to the waitress, she said we'll get some bread and olive oil to you. For me, it would be a good idea if the restaurant brought the bread and olive oil out right away. Oh and I should preface all my future statements with the fact that there were only two other tables in the entire restaurant sat when we arrived, and only 5 sat at the time we left. This is with a full staff including at least 3-4 servers. So after we had been there over 15 minutes and ordered, it took an additional 8-10 minutes for our bread/olive oil to arrive. To their credit, the bread and olive oil and spice combination was the best part of the experience. It went downhill after that. We received our entrees about 35-40 minutes after we arrived. Not a crime. My lasagna was some of the worst I had ever tasted. It was composed in a boat dish that seemed microwaved with the edges being like lava and the center being luke-warm. The meat sauce was bland. The ricotta if it even existed, was invisible. I ate most of it because I have been dieting and with this splurge for our celebration. I wasn't thrilled about having eaten most of it. My wife had the seafood soup with angel hair pasta. When the waitress took our order, she asked if she wanted it with spaghetti. My wife decided she didn't want spaghetti, but just the angel hair it came with. She enjoyed the seafood but, when the final bill came, it was priced as if she had added the spaghetti. I pointed this out to the waitress and she apologized for the mistake and went back and redid the final bill. I am hoping this was a human-error mistake and not an attempt to bump up the check a little for something we might have forgotten in the conversation. In addition, for almost the entire time we were seated, right behind us seemed to be the hang out for the wait staff. Since they only had 3-5 tables filled the whole time we were there, it seemed hanging out was prevalent. They were happy to ignore the comfort of the guest about 10 feet away and ramble on in Spanish in a voice that wasn't an "inside and quiet voice". The only reason I didn't give this review a 1-star is because I didn't feel anything was malicious. One star votes should be because some employee was obviously terrible. I didn't think anyone at Capri was malicious. I just thought they didn't know how to provide the proper experience for the $ being spent. They are a $$$-$$$$ restaurant. They provided service and flavor at a $-$$ level.

I hadn't been here for a few years, but I remembered it being good the last time, so I was surprised about all the negative reviews. While I usually go with what my fellow Yelpers have to say, having had a nice experience here before, I decided to try it again after a Groupon came around. We arrived just after 7pm on Friday night and we were seated promptly. I've always loved the decor here; reminiscent of true Italy with high ceilings and Frescos that remind you of Michelangelo. A grand piano sits in middle of the main dining room. We were offered our pick of a few tables, and were instantly greeted by a young man who introduced himself as "Junior". My husband and I each ordered a glass of wine - a blend and a Malbec, and these were no skimpy pours... Seeing that we haven't been able to have a date night for a while, we decided to go all out. We started with the Carpaccio appetizer and split a starter Caesar. The complimentary bread with olive oil/balsamic/herb blend was like another reviewer said - addicting. I wish I knew what exactly they put into that oil blend so I could make it at home. The Carpaccio was sliced fresh, arriving with a nice amount of capers (I looove capers), red onion, and generous slices of aged cheese. We both really enjoyed it. Our waiter knew that we intended to split the salad, so he had it divided onto two separate plates. It was a nice touch, and the salad was fresh and tasty...I only wish that the lemon was a wedge and not a slice so I could squeeze it more easily ;) We opted for a few specials as our entrees, and while they had just sold out of one of them, Junior let us know what else they had on the menu that was similar. We ended up with the Ravioli special, with chicken, rosemary and a cream sauce. It was to die for. I'm sure it wasn't diet food, but it was worth every calorie. Absolutely delicious. Our second entree was the Lasagna with Italian sausage, which was also very good, served baked and piping hot with loads of cheese melted on top. If you are looking for comfort food, something to warm you from the inside out, this is for you. Although we liked the Ravioli a bit better, the Lasagna was still awesome, and we would definitely get it again. My husband wanted dessert, so we negotiated. He got dessert and the driver's seat so I could have another glass of wine. The creme brule he ordered was sized generously, came with two spoons (smile), the accompanying coffee he ordered was delicious and strong, and my second glass of wine was just as nice of a pour as the first. So, all in all, we had a great experience with the dining portion, but what really sealed the deal was Junior. He was such a pleasure to have as our server; wasn't rushed, wasn't pushy, didn't give us grief for having a Groupon, gave us solid advice on what to order, but also chatted with us about the family business, introduced us to his sister who was also a server there, and just overall made us laugh and truly enjoy our evening. I'm positive that we will be back...

Worst service ever, I looked into the eyes of a server who was refilling peoples drinks, and as he turned to my table he just stared. And ignored me and my girlfriend, it was very disappointing. Not to mention the food was lackluster and for the price I would rather have gone to olive garden.

We came here over a year ago and the food was pretty good. So when we saw a Groupon for the place we were like "Sure, lets go back" This ended up being a mistake, we sat down and the air conditioning was on so high that I needed a jacket, so did the table next to us so I wasn't imagining things. But that wasn't the issue, it was the completely uncaring nature of the server that upset me and why I won't be returning. The soup we ordered never arrived, and the meal that I ordered was NOTHING like it said on the menu. I ordered Tortellini with meat sauce and sausage, what was dropped off to me was a tortellini in cream sauce with ham. Not even close. I am allergic to cream so I sat there patiently waiting for the server to return to check on us. When the server noticed that I wasn't eating my food she came to check on us, I told her the issue and she said "Oh yeah sorry we changed the menu" I mentioned that I can't eat cream and asked if there was a way to get what I ordered. She actually told me that she could bring me a side of Marinara (still NOT meat sauce) but that no matter what the tortellini would still have alfredo sauce on it. This confused me, unless you pre make all the dishes and microwave them to order you could easily make tortellini with different sauce. I wasn't asking you to remake Lasagna, I was just asking for what I ordered. I finally got tired of arguing with her and gave up. I let the tortellini sit in front of me without eating. She then never came back until it was time for the check, she had taken 50% of the price of the tortellini off, but still never brought me what I ordered or even tried to. With our work schedules and a daughter we very rarely get a date night out and this was not how I envisioned it to be.

Ordered lasagna for takeout. It was by far the absolute worst lasagna I've ever had. As a matter of fact I threw it away and went back out and grabbed a burger next door from Blazing Onion. I walked in and was very impressed by the décor. The place was empty and now I can see why. To the Owner: You obviously invested a lot of money on the décor, time to invest in the food.

I really don't understand the bad reviews of this place. We've eaten here so many times and it's always been great. It's a little over priced, but the food is really great. I always get the Capellini Pomodoro which is flavorful and always tastes wonderful. The Rigatoni con Pesto is also delicious. We've had deserts there as well, the ice cream, and it's a nice top-off to a great meal. I've never had a problem with the service...they are a little slow at times even though it's usually not busy, but we're never in a rush so it's not a big deal. We've also had family events, like birthdays and everyone was happy with the food/atmosphere/experience. Give it a chance if you like italian food, you will be pleasantly surprised!

Not sure why they have so many bad reviews. I went in there a couple days ago. The bread was great and the atmosphere is very pleasant. The wait staff were very friendly (we were sitting at the bar) and the drinks were good. We got there shortly after they opened so we were the first ones in there. We split some ravioli that was incredibly good. Pricing was pretty on par with any other Italian restaurant. I will definitely go back

I came here skeptical due to the Yelp reviews. I can honestly say my experience differed from many. I came in during a weekday night with a friend. There was only us a couple by the window recreating scenes from Lady and the Tramp. We were seated far enough away that we didn't intrude on their moment and they didn't inspire me to tell them to find a room. The decor is pleasant. Yes, obviously fake like someone trying to recreate a scene from a post card at bottom dollar but not shoddy or tacky. The wait staff was very prompt, polite, and seamless. For some reason we had a different person for every stage - one person to seat us, another asked for our drinks, another brought our drinks, a new waitress took our order, a new waiter brought out our order. They knew who ordered what and never mixed up anything. They could have been bored. They could have been avoiding the couple who demonstrated circular breathing flawlessly. The food was good! Large portions, hot but not too hot, and tasty! Now I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here, but if I'm in the area I'd be more than happy to go.

We had dinner there tonight only because I had a $25 gift certificate. As you walk into the restaurant the emptiness of the restaurant should've been a hint. But, because we had a certificate to use, we stayed. They advertise all over their restaurant door and at their hostess table to check into their restaurant on Yelp for an offer, as soon as we sat down (no wait needed which was weird considering they just ended their happy hour at 6PM and we got there at 6PM) We sat down and I checked in and asked the waiter if I could use the offer today. He says, sure no problem. So, we ordered 2 Spaghetti Bolognese $15.99 each, 1 Fettuccine Alfredo $13.99 + 4.99 to add Garlic Shrimp and a kids dinosaur nuggets and fries $6.99 (he's 10 and not a fan of Italian food.) The bread was good with the olive oil and a little kick of spice. The spaghetti did not much of a sauce, it was more meat. The garlic shrimp that I paid extra to have on my fettuccine was NOT garlic at all!! (Why?) The dino nuggets was critic by my son. His exact words: "Um, Mom. This isn't shaped like a dinosaur it's round!" LOL Once the food got to us our waiter checked on us once to see how it was, but I had to flag him down to refill our drinks. The water girl did a better job offering us more bread and filling the kids water cups. Here's the kicker: When the check arrived I inserted the gift card and my credit card to pay. The waiter comes back and tells me he can't take 2 coupons on one check. I was confused because I didn't realize they consider the gift card a coupon. The check-in offer on Yelp that they highly advertise was: Buy 1 entrée get one 50% off. My gift card was for $25. He says, you can only use one or the other. Seriously?! So, of course, I used the gift card because it's $25 and I'm here and won't be back again. Olive Garden or Boston Pizza has better pastas than they do.

We really wanted to like this place, but it was very disappointing . The sever / bar tender was super nice and so is the ambience . Looks like they spent more money on the decor then the food. We had pizza, the dough was tasteless, overloaded with garlic and loaded with cheap cheese . Sorry to say, we won't be back.

This restaurant used to be off of 164th (near the bowling alley) and was delicious back then. Ever since they moved to a nicer building in the Mill Creek Town Center, the food has not been as good. We gave Capri 2 shots since they have relocated, but we were underwhelmed both times. In our most recent trip (brought on by a very good Groupon deal), I ordered the Pizzaiola (chicken breast sautéed with garlic, red chili flakes, fresh basil & oregano in our Marinara sauce). It was not tasty at all. The sauce was very one-note and I did not finish my meal. The very worst part of dining at Capri is the service. It is sooooo sloooowwwww! Also, the lady (who I believe to be the owner) that seats you (she cannot be called a hostess) is so rude. The wait staff is friendly, but they seem afraid of the owner lady. When she appears in the room their eyes dart around as if they are trying to see if she is coming for them. There are far too many good restaurants in the area to spend your hard earned money at this establishment.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
